Hello Milwee Band Family!
This past week was a BIG one for our band program - we had Jazz MPA and Solo & Ensemble festival.
S&E Festival went off great! Our students performed GREAT! I'm proud to boast that Milwee was the third highest represented school in both Volusia and Seminole Counties with over 100 students performing in 105 separate events! All-in-all, Milwee students received 95 Superior medals - the guest teachers/adjudicators were very complimentary on our student's professionalism, musicality, and skill!
I hope everyone who went to the festival had a great time; if you didn’t go, check it out next year! Learn a solo and perform for others!
Our Jazz band also performed last week at their MPA and we were honored with the top ratings at the festival: Straight Superiors from all three judges! This is a big honor and achievement for the kids, especially coming out of these past few years of crazy!
The recordings came out nice! I'm always thrilled to share with you: enjoy with your classes this week. There's some nice music to play for your classes as they enter and do their bell work.
