The concert will conclude just after 7:10, and we will need some great helpers to stay and help clean up. Otherwise, students are dismissed after Symphonic Band performs.  All students must stay for the entirety of the concert!

What are we wearing for the concert?
Beginning band members will be wearing their hunter green Milwee Band T-Shirt, tucked into a pair of black dress pants, black shoes, and black socks with a black belt.  Please wear closed toe shoes, I recommend black flats for female band members.

Band Booster Meeting Annoucement

1st, we want to invite you to our upcoming Band Booster Meeting on Tuesday, October 16th at 6pm in the band room!

As we announced at the Band Social, the entire band board are made up of 8th grade parents who are leaving us at the end of this year! If you have a just a few hours per month to help out serving the band and learning how this incredibly important organization works, we’d love for you to come out and see what we’re about! All parents are welcome, the meetings last no longer than 1 hour -- lots of great discussion with what is going on in our band -- we need help! THANK YOU!

Lyman HS/Milwee MS Mentoring Program

I am SOOO excited to announce that our partnership with Lyman HS’s band program is continuing this year by offering Milwee students a chance to get free private help from Lyman HS band students.

Starting on Tuesday, October 16th, Lyman High School band students will be visiting our campus to help our students learn their SCALES, ALL-COUNTY MUSIC, FALL & WINTER CONCERT MUSIC, and other FUNDAMENTALS of performance. Students will also be able to ask for help on any other assignments and “PASS OFFS” that need to be completed.

All Grade levels, classes, and ability levels are encouraged to attend (Beginners, Concert, Symphonic, and Jazz!)

Don’t miss this opportunity to get free, and very useful help on your instrument. I will be on site the entire time, rotating around and helping students/mentors throughout the process. It’s a great chance for students to improve and learn from really talented High School Musicians. Plus ITS FREE!!!!

We will be meeting on Tuesday’s between October 16th and November 13th (with a break on Election Tuesday, November 6th). The times will be from 4pm until 5:30pm, weekly.

No pre-signup is necessary, just show up to get extra help!
